Hauppauge, N.Y., November 14, 2019 – As the official audio-visual services contractor for Expo! Expo!, IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition, SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals (SmartSource®) has constructed a one-of-a-kind, 90-foot-wide by 16-foot-tall LED wall to be featured during the General Sessions to be held December 3-5, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.

To take the Expo! Expo! 2019 General Sessions to the next level, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) turned to the experts at SmartSource to customize a solution using the latest technology. The result is a ground-supported LED wall comprised of a remarkable 486 tiles, which will display rich, life-like images due to a screen resolution of 10,368 pixels by 1,944 pixels and an aspect ratio of 5.33:1.

Powering the wow of the General Session wall, with the LED wall’s screen resolution so much higher than projection, required SmartSource to pair it with an image processor that could match its dynamic presentation capability. They found that a state-of-the-art presentation system called LivePremierTM Aquilon RS4 from Analog Way® fit the bill. Having recently debuted in the United States, this 4K/8K multi-screen presentation system and videowall processor was selected for its extraordinarily powerful delivery of uncompromising presentation experiences. Other technology supporting the General Sessions will include advanced LED lighting with stationary and moving fixtures, two cameras, and JBL Vertec Line Array.

“SmartSource is excited to help the IAEE bring its visions for Expo! Expo! 2019 to life,” remarked Robert Mink, Project Lead Manager for SmartSource, Powered by ABCOMRENTS. “It is our hope that in developing such a huge, high-resolution LED wall, we can help the General Session presenters create truly immersive experiences that captivate their audiences and create a lasting impression,” he added.

Attendees at Expo! Expo! 2019 will have a unique opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the process of producing such a high-end event and get hands-on experience with some of most cutting-edge event technology. SmartSource’s John Cuthbertson will lead an interactive discussion entitled Maximizing Your AV Spend and Innovative Event Technology. This CEU-accredited workshop will give attendees rare insight into how an AV company navigates the entire process – from RFP to show site. This session will include an exclusive backstage tour and meeting with the technical staff, stage manager, design team, and product experts to see what it takes to prepare for a Keynote Session.
