Hauppauge, NY…

ABCOM Technology Group companies, ABCOMRENTS and SmartSource®, leading providers of computer, audio visual (AV) and interactive technology solutions for businesses and events, are again stepping up to address urgent needs relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. This time, the companies have joined the “Live for Life Live-Event Industry COVID-19 Coalition,” to offer help in the creation of temporary emergency field hospitals.

Ali Vafa, CEO of ABCOM Technology Group said, “At the onset of the pandemic, we made it our goal to use our equipment and expertise to keep America working, learning and supported during this time of need. We know we can have an even greater impact by joining the Live for Life Coalition. The professionals in this industry are some of the most innovative and hard-working people I’ve ever known. Together, we can accomplish a lot at a time when our country needs it most.”

The Coalition is specifically targeting hospital systems and regions experiencing high rates of acute infections, which require additional facilities and controlled environments to treat affected patients. For their part, ABCOM and SmartSource are offering technology solutions to facilitate timely information reporting and administration needs. Specifically, the companies are offering digital signage including large displays, digital kiosks and LED Walls that provide real-time updates as well as directional and facility information from customizable content management systems. In addition, the ABCOM Technology Group companies have provided various IT products including computers, laptops, tablets, printers and copiers to organizations in need, nationally.

ABCOMRENTS and SmartSource are deploying these products on demand to temporary health care facilities such as the Javits Center in New York City. The companies have provided more than 10,000 IT products to support companies as they shift to remote workforces and learning institutions that need to provide equipment to students and teachers. The companies have also converted space into live streaming broadcast studios which offer a safe space for businesses, healthcare providers, and government agencies to conduct live webcasts or record messages for timely, professional updates.

“ABCOMRENTS and SmartSource will continue to find new ways to use our equipment and expertise to serve the greater good,” said Vafa. “We, and all other members of the coalition, are working hard to help our country recover and prepare for the safe return of events and trade shows in the months ahead.”
