Audio Visual options made to attract attention have come a long way since LED walls debuted at CES years ago. The next wave includes immersive, multidimensional spheres, hanging signs, cubes, and seamless LED posters. When synchronized, this content creates a powerful experience—whether featured in SmartSource’s exhibit at ExhibitorLIVE this year or used on its own.

Taken separately, each of these components is compelling from a distance and up close. From interactive signage to ultra-clear displays, this next generation of LED solutions combines visuals, colors, and patterns to help bring life to any event space or booth. It’s memorable, not just fun to look at.

We spoke with Ben Kauffman, LED Technology Specialist, at SmartSource about these new technological offerings.

AV Equipment Highlight #1: The Sphere

First up: The Sphere. This globe-shaped 1.5-meter (in diameter) display may be hung from above or placed on a base on the ground. With a 1.9mm pitch, it delivers high resolution and looks stunning both up close and from afar. The 360-degree view wows.

Kauffman said, “The Sphere is a great attraction-getter for lobbies, registration, and welcome areas. It can feature photos or video, or both. The high resolution stands out in a sea of other signage.”

AV Equipment Highlight #2: The Cube

The Cube has five sides, each 1 meter in length. It is equally high-resolution and impactful as The Sphere. Ground-supported, it usually sits on a pedestal or table. Content is easy to upload and can be shown in various ways: the same image on all five sides, up to five different images at a time (one per side), and, amazingly, up to five videos, one per side, showing at the same time.

Discussing The Cube, Kauffman said, “Organizers and planners can sell multiple sponsorships for each Cube, with one sponsor per cube side, then rotate the client’s marketing collateral and intertwine the ads with show management messaging. Unlike other, older, LED screens, The Cube stands out – in a good way.” The marketing collateral may be static images or video.

It’s noticed when organizers, planners, or exhibitors hyper-personalize content by combining interactive elements, including video, 3D modeling, and animation, to visually tell stories on new, unique, and memorable platforms like The Sphere and The Cube

Improve your event’s gathering areas—whether in the registration area, a pavilion, or a specialized area, the aesthetics will dramatically change using next-generation LED.
